This individual house located in North West Scotland, is designed to a curved plan to protect the garden area from the effects of a very exposed location. The timber frame building features high levels of insulation and an integral conservatory facing south to provide passive solar warming to the remainder of the building. The fit out includes a generous bedroom wing with an office and library whilst the first floor features an open gallery following the curve of the building. The structure is clad in locally sourced douglas fir and features a reclaimed slate roof. |
